Take bereavement leave
You’re eligible for three paid days of bereavement leave for the death of an immediate or extended family member. If you’re not eligible for bereavement leave or you need more than three days, you can use personal time off. Work with your manager to request the time off, or:
- Go to Workday > Menu > Time Off.
- Select the days off you’re requesting and select “Bereavement” as the type of time off.
- Click “Submit.”
To view the bereavement time off policy, visit My RTX HR. You must be logged in to your RTX Google account to access the policy.
Make changes to your benefits
Was your loved one enrolled in Rentokil benefits? If so, RTX Benefits can assist you with updating your benefits enrollment or you can make the changes in Workday.
Contact RTX Benefits at (800) 901-9025 or email MyHR@Rentokil-Terminix.com.
To make the changes yourself, go to Workday > Menu > Benefits & Pay > Benefits > Change Benefits.
You have 30 days from the event date to make changes to your benefits. You’ll be asked to submit the death certificate when making benefit changes.
Submit a life insurance claim
If your loved one was covered by supplemental life insurance, you’ll want to submit a claim. Contact RTX Benefits at (800) 901-9025 or MyHR@Rentokil-Terminix.com for assistance.
Update your tax and beneficiary information
Review your tax withholding information and make any updates by visiting Workday > Benefits & Pay > Withholding Elections > Update.
You may want to update your beneficiaries. A beneficiary is the person who you want to receive benefits in the event of your death.
- Life insurance and AD&D: If you submit a death of dependent qualifying life event, you’ll be able to update your life insurance beneficiary along with your other benefits. If you don’t submit a qualifying life event, change your life beneficiaries by visiting Workday > Benefits & Pay > Change Benefits > Change Beneficiaries.
- 401(k): Contact Vanguard at (800) 523-1188 or visit Vanguard.com/RetirementPlans.
- Health Savings Account (HSA): Contact Inspira Financial at (800) 284-4885 or visit InspiraFinancial.com.

Loss of a family member who was a Rentokil colleague
Inform your family member’s manager
If you have contact info for your family member’s manager, you can contact them directly to notify them about your loved one’s passing. If you don’t have their contact information, you can email MyHR@Rentokil-Terminix.com or call (800) 901-9025.
Know what will happen to your benefits
If you and/or your family are currently enrolled in medical, dental, or vision insurance, you will be eligible for COBRA coverage. To better understand the impact to your benefits upon the passing of your spouse/domestic partner, contact RTX Benefits at (800) 901-9025 or MyHR@Rentokil-Terminix.com.
A life insurance claim will be submitted on your behalf. Beneficiaries will be notified with further information.
